This is why we must Speak Life!
The words we use have tremendous power. The Bible says that life and death are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21).

The truth is... we all have problems with what we say. That’s probably why the Bible says so much about the importance of taming the tongue. The terms: tongue, lips, mouth and words are mentioned over 170 times in scripture. Proverbs is filled with verses about both the positive and negative aspects of what we speak.

James 3:4-5 says:
“Take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark.”
​
This passage implies that our words steer the direction of our lives.
So we must choose them wisely.
We can use our words to build up or tear down.
"Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks." (Luke 6:45).
How many times have you heard yourself or your child say
self-defeating things like:

"I just can't..."
"I will never be able to..."
"I am so [insert negative word]"
"Nobody cares about me."
"I give up."
"I'm so sick and tired..."
"I will never be good enough."
(the list goes on & on & on...)

Well, the only way to combat these negative thoughts is with positive words, or CONFESSIONS of TRUTH. The truth of who God says you are, what God says you can do, have and become... and just how loved & valuable you are.
​
By teaching our children (and ourselves) these simple CONFESSIONS, we can combat the negative self-image that often comes with living in this fallen world. A world that puts so much pressure on our youth to be perfect (or at least appear that way), that they loose their identity and start to believe the lies of the enemy.
This is a tragedy and the reason WHY we created
